Third participation at Gourmet Selection, Terramoka coffees products are guaranteed organic, from a chemical-free culture with a sustainable approach. and these selected coffees are excellent...

From the beginning, Terramoka coffees have been roasted in a sustainable and environmentally-friendly way. According to Philippe Sauzay, CEO of Terramoka, the company was the first coffee brand to launch the first Nespresso-compatible organic coffee capsule, which is 100% biodegradable and compostable and contains 0% aluminium. The packaging for the coffee beans and powder is also biodegradable and bio-compostable, including the valve.

The organic capsule is symbolic of Terramoka's global approach. The coffees are certified organic and grown using agroforestry methods. This means that the coffee beans are grown without the use of chemicals that are damaging to the environment, and that the agroforestry method preserves local biodiversity while producing exceptional quality coffee. The coffee trees are grown under different trees, which helps to preserve the ground and reduce erosion.

Exceptional vintages

Consumers are assured of enjoying a beverage that contains no allergens or flavour enhancers. For producers committed to a sustainable approach, Terramoka guarantees remuneration 10% to 20% above market prices.

Terramoka is available in a range of eight different coffees. Each has a first name. ‘The names are given in honour of coffee growers or buyers who are real globetrotters of coffee plantations’, explains Philippe Sauzay.

Terramoka proposes :

  • Mademoiselle Adèle: 100% organic arabica from Brazil and Mexico (delicate, fine and fruity).
  • Monsieur Albert: 100% organic arabica from Peru (fruity, delicate and racy).
  • Arthur: 80% organic arabica from Brazil and Mexico, and 20% robusta from Tanzania (rich, tasty and persistent).
  • Inès: 100% organic arabica from Papua (tangy, spicy and assertive).
  • Sir Oscar: 100% Arabica from Ethiopia (subtle, fruity and committed).
  • Mister Nelson: 100% decaffeinated organic arabica from Peru.

Each blend, created by the best experts in the French market, is recognised as an exceptional coffee that meets the demanding standards of the Speciality Coffee Association (SCAE). ‘Coffee is very similar to wine. Finding the right balance of everything that composes it makes it possible to create exceptional "grands crus". That's why we judge our coffees on their florality rather than their intensity,' adds Philippe Sauzay.

At the same time, Philippe Sauzay has also created a second Java range: the ‘Inédits’. An assortment of vintages rated 85 and above by experts. 'This is a very high-end coffee in terms of taste, offering finesse and extreme florality,’ adds Terramoka's CEO.
