Maison Monin is the great specialist in syrups. It is even the world's leading reference for the number of flavors: more than a hundred!

Alongside classic syrups like strawberry or orange, there are surprising flavors such as roasted hazelnut, apple pie, or even white chocolate!

It is the king of syrups. Monin has been making this liquid since 1912. And since its beginnings over 110 years ago, Maison Monin, located in Bourges from the start, has become a champion of French export. The premium syrup brand is present in more than 140 countries worldwide, with its hundred flavors and tastes. Today, Monin also has manufacturing units in the United States, China, and Malaysia.

Monin: a fine food store essential

Monin can be found in fine grocery stores, supermarkets, restaurants, bistros, and even major international coffee chains. Monin syrups feel just as at home on the family table as in the kitchen or at a barista or bartender’s counter. The brand has thus established itself as the reference for professionals worldwide.

People are at the heart of Maison Monin. The company continually pushes the boundaries of flavors by relying on its openness, passion, and curiosity. Quality, creativity, and innovation: these three words represent the way of thinking and working of this company, one of the most famous names in the Centre-Val de Loire region.

Monin constantly creates flavors that are as exotic as they are original. That’s why its portfolio is unparalleled: six ranges including syrups, fruit preparations, sauces, frappes, and liqueurs, with more than 150 flavors and 19 different formats. Among the exotic or simply original flavors, one can marvel at creations such as “cinnamon roll,” “spiced pumpkin,” “blood orange,” “wild strawberry,” “cucumber,” “violet,” or “apple pie” syrups...

Fine food store sucess with Monin's high-quality syrups

Moreover, the brand has committed for several years to producing high-quality natural syrups. The goal is to use 100% natural products. Today, the aromas are 100% natural and guaranteed without added preservatives.

Considering the need for healthier products, Monin also commits to producing more syrups with reduced sugar content or no added sugars. For baristas, there are sugar-free vanilla, hazelnut, and caramel syrups. Similarly, the “Monin Concentrate” range offers 20 flavors with lower sweetness than traditional syrups. Furthermore, Monin has also created six organic flavors.

The company also follows a sustainable approach. The aim is to ensure that 50% of the ingredients used come from agroecological farming. Monin is committed to supporting over 1,000 farmers in their conversion to agroecology by 2030.

One of the new additions is a range of cordials called Paragon. Six are currently available on the market to enhance cocktails and mocktails. After launching its first Paragon cordials around pepper flavors, Monin completed its collection with three so-called balsamic fragrances: Vetiver, Labdanum, and Palo Santo. Monin aims to embody a way of living, an experience based on a century of expertise, a brand respectful of the environment, and one that constantly renews and enriches its ranges.

Bringing gourmet syrups to gourmet food stores

France remains a significant consumer of syrups. According to the French Syrup Union, more than 193 million liters of syrup are produced annually (including 9 million liters of sugar-free concentrates).

According to the union's figures, 63.4% of households buy the product, and their purchase frequency is an average of six times per year, with an average consumption of 6.3 liters of syrup. This explains the presence of syrup creators at Gourmet Selection.
