Awarded this year at Gourmet Selection by a Best Of prize in the Oils, vinegars & condiments category, Llagrimes del Canigo's extra-virgin olive oil infused with chilli, garlic and peppers is one of the latest creations from this brand, created during the Covid-19 pandemic by a lawyer and a graphic designer looking to establish a business in Spain's north-eastern Empordà region.

The oil mainly uses a variety of local olives (Argudel) picked in the Sierra de l'Albera, with very limited production. It is then infused with bird's eye chili and local garlic.

With its spicy flavor, it obviously makes an ideal (and aesthetically pleasing) companion for pizzas and pastas.
